Today, June 6, at the LoongArch 2022 Architecture Development Forum, Loongson unveiled the Godgson 3C5000 server processor for general computing, large data centers and cloud computing centers, and together with partners, released a new-generation home server core appliance platform.
The Loongson 3C5000 processor
The Loongson 3C5000 processor uses a completely independent LoongArch instruction architecture;
The 16-core single-chip unixbench score exceeds 9500, and double precision processing power reaches 560 GFlops. The peak performance of a 16-core processor is comparable to that of a typical 64-core ARM processor;
Support up to 16-way connection, with the new generation of Loongson 7A2000 bridge chip, the PCIe bandwidth is increased by more than 400% compared to the previous generation;
The new processor can meet the computing needs of general computing, large data centers and cloud computing centers. Through a chip-level security mechanism, the processor can provide endogenous CPU-level support for Equal Assurance 2.0, trusted computing, national encryption algorithm replacement, and protection against network security vulnerabilities.
However, the technical details of the new processor have not yet been disclosed, but apparently it is a further development of the 3C5000L processor released a year ago (16 cores, frequency 2.0 GHz-2.2 GHz).
