In a couple of weeks we will start to sell AMD Ryzen 7000 processors, so it is not surprising that there are more and more new performance tests of this CPU family in the web - different media and reviewers are actively getting acquainted with the novelties. So in the series of new tests, the 8-core Ryzen 77700X showed decent performance.

Ryzen 7 7700X shows up in CPU-Z for the first time, with a clock speed of 5,425 MHz, 25 MHz higher than announced. It is important to note that all computational cores of the processor reach this frequency.
CPU was tested on bench with Gigabyte X670E AORUS Master motherboard and DDR5-6400 RAM, the results are: single threaded test with 774 points, multi-threaded test with 8381 points. With these results, it was 21% and 20% faster than Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 9 5950X in single threaded test. Also, when it comes to single-threaded performance, the Ryzen 7 7700X was faster than the 10-core Core i5-12600K, but only by 1%.
Due to the high frequency of all cores, Ryzen 7 7700X beats both 16-core Core i9-12900K (by 1%, but still) and 12-core Core i7-12700K (by 8%) in multi-threaded test.

In Geekbench, Ryzen 7 7700X performance is rated at 2209 points in the single-threaded test and 14459 points in the multi-threaded test: it was 16% and 2% faster than the Core i7-12700K, respectively.
Recall, Ryzen 7 7700X will go on sale on September 27. Its official price is $400. About the same price is asked in the U.S. now for the Core i7-12700K.
