Python | Check if a string matches a list of regular expressions

Method: Using regular expression regex + loop + re.match()
This task can be accomplished using a combination of the above functions. In this, we create a new regex string by concatenating the entire regex list and then match the string against it to check for a match using match () on any element of the regex list.

temp =   ’(?:% s)’ % ’|’ . join (test_list)

res = False

if re.match (temp, test_str):

res = True

 
# Print result

print ( "Does string match any of regex in list ? : " + str (res))

Output:

 The original list: [’gee *’ , ’gf *’, ’df. *’, ’re’] Does string match any of regex in list?: True
