PHP Gmp_rootrem () function

Syntax:
gmp_rootrem($num,$n)
Parameters:this function takes two required parameters, as shown in the above syntax. They are listed below:
  • $num:the parameter can be a GMP object in PHP 5.6 and later, or we can also pass a numeric string, provided that we can convert this string to a number.
  • $n:positive root, calculated from $num .
Examples:
Input: $num = "8" $n = 2 Output: Array ([0] = > GMP Object ([num] = > 2) [1] = > GMP Object ([num] = > 4)) Input: $num = "9" $n = 2 Output: Array ([0] = > GMP Object ([num] = > 3) [1 ] = > GMP Object ([num] = > 0))
Return value:This function returns a two element array, both elements are GMP numbers.
  • First elementof array - this is the integer componentof the nth root of $num.
  • The second elementis the remainder .
  • The following programs illustrate the use of the gmp_rootrem() function in PHP:Program 1:The program below illustrates the use of a function with a GMP number passed as an argument.
    // PHP calculation program
    // integer part and remainder
    // root of the nth number gmp
    // GMP number as argument $num = gmp_init (8); $n = 3; $rootrem = gmp_rootrem ( $num , $n );
    // Show array elements echo print_r ( $rootrem ); ?>
    Exit
    Array ([0] = > GMP Object ([num] = > 2) [1] = > GMP Object ([num] = > 0))
    Program 2:The program below illustrates the use of a function with a numeric string passed as an argument.
    // PHP program for calculating
    // integer part and remainder
    // root of the nth number gmp
    // Numeric string as argument $num = "178924890" ; $n = 3; $rootrem = gmp_rootrem ( $num , $n );
    // Show array elements echo print_r ( $rootrem ); ?>
    Exit
    Array ([0] = > GMP Object ([num] = > 563) [1] = > GMP Object ([num] = > 471343))
