OnePlus unveiled its first mechanical keyboard, theFeaturing Keyboard 81 Pro. The device was designed with the help of Keychron, and a series of proprietary switches were made based on user feedback. Pre-orders will open in April 2023.

The keyboard from OnePlus consists of 81 keys and one rotary knob in the upper right corner. Two versions of the switches will be available for pre-order, Winter Bonifire and Summer Breeze. Both series are designed with user feedback and suggestions in mind. The Summer Breeze version will also come with cases made of a special material that resembles the feel of a charging cable braid or a fitness bracelet strap. The company claims it is more durable and comfortable.
The keyboard supports Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. There is a switch between Windows and macOS on the case, and the company will prepare a special series with a layout for Mac by the beginning of sales. The keyboard supports Bluetooth 5.1, but it can only be connected to one device. The company has not provided a switch between multiple active computers. The keyboard is charged via USB-C, and can operate for over 100 hours on a single charge at minimum backlight brightness level.
TheFeaturing Keyboard 81 Pro is fully programmable. Users will be able to write their own firmware using QMK/VIA. There are also several layers of noise-absorbing foam in the keyboard case for quieter operation.
Pre-orders for theFeaturing Keyboard 81 Pro will open this April. The package will include the keyboard itself, a USB-C cable, a USB-C to USB-A adapter, a key to remove the switches, and an allen key.
