Tests were conducted using DirectX12 and Vulkan graphics APIs. The article reported that the researchers ran a variety of modern games and compared performance with popular graphics cards already on the market. Separately, the company singled out high performance in the racing simulator Dirt 5 and the adventure shooter Control.
The test results showed that the Intel Arc A750 graphics card is 3% faster than one of the most popular mid-range graphics cards in the face of Nvidia RTX 3060. From the charts of the company, you can see that at 1080p with maximum graphics settings, the Intel solution slightly outperforms the RTX 3060. At the same time, the trend does not continue in all games, and some projects give out a high frame rate on an Nvidia video card. At 1440p resolution, the situation persists.
In a company blog post, the Intel Arc A750 is not far ahead of the graphics cards already on the market, but such tests will help engineers better optimize the operation of hardware and software, which will give a noticeable increase in the future. It's important to note that Intel didn't show test results with DirectX11, which may indicate that video cards are not optimized enough for the legacy graphics API.
So far, Intel has not announced the exact start dates for sales and prices, but quite often shares the details of the Arc line. For example, this week Intel revealed details about Arc Pro graphics cards, which are specially optimized for professional software. Intel graphics cards are expected to go on sale before the end of 2022.
