Honor launches MagicBook V14 2022 touchscreen notebook with gesture control

Honor has launched the MagicBook V14 2022 notebook in China with a touchscreen and gesture control system using a 5MP front camera with 3D TOF sensor. The model features a 14.2" 2.5K display, 100% sRGB coverage, 400 nits peak brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 90Hz refresh rate.

The notebook is equipped with Intel Core i5-12500H processors in the base and mid-range versions and i7-12700H in the top-end, a 16GB LPDDR5 and 512GB SSD, an Nvidia GeForce MX550 GPU in the mid-range and top-end versions. An optional GPU can also be connected to the laptop via Thunderbolt 4.

The use of OS Turbo, according to the company, reduces power consumption by up to 26.7 per cent. In addition, the model supports screen translation to other monitors and TVs, video conferencing and 1440p video recording.

The monitor has two USB-C 3.2 Gen2 ports, one USB-A 3.2 Gen1, one HDMI, as well as one 3.5mm 2-in-1 headset and microphone jack.

Pricing ranges from ¥6199 (around $900) to ¥7699 (around $1050) depending on the variant.
