Let`s dig deeper —
In the late 1980s, history had to be written. It was then that work on Python began. Shortly thereafter, Guido Van Rossum began his applied work in December 1989 at Centrum Wiskunde & amp; Informatica (CWI) based in Holland. At first he started as a hobby because he was looking for an interesting project to keep him busy at Christmas. The programming language that is said to have succeeded in Python, — it is an ABC programming language that interacted with the Amoeba operating system and had an exception handling function. He already helped build ABC early in his career, and he saw some problems with ABC, but he liked most of the features. After that, what he did is really very clever. He took ABC syntax and some of its good features. This also came with a lot of complaints, so he fixed these problems completely and created a good scripting language that fixed all the flaws. The title is inspired by the BBC TV show — Monty Python`s Flying Circus as he was a huge fan of the TV show and also wanted a short, unique and slightly cryptic name for his invention and hence he called it Python! He was the Benevolent Dictator for Life (BDFL) until he stepped down as leader on July 12, 2018. He worked for Google for a while, but is currently at Dropbox.
The language was finally released in 1991. When it was released, it used a lot less code to express concepts when we compared it to Java, C ++ and C. His design philosophy was pretty good too. Its main goal is — Ensure code readability and improve developer productivity. When it was released, it had more than enough power to provide classes with inheritance, exception handling for several basic data types and functions.
Below are illustrations of different versions of Python, along with a timeline.
Python 3.7.3 is the latest version.
The two most commonly used versions are Python 2.x and 3.x. There is a lot of competition between them and they both seem to have many different fans.
This language is used for various purposes such as development, scripting, software generation and testing. With its elegance and simplicity, leading technology organizations such as Dropbox, Google, Quora, Mozilla, Hewlett-Packard, Qualcomm, IBM, and Cisco have adopted Python.
Python has come a long way to become the most popular language. coding in the world. Python just turned 30, but it still has that unknown glamor factor and X that can be clearly seen from the fact that Google users have consistently searched for Python much more than they searched for Kim Kardashian, Donald Trump, Tom Cruise, etc. . D.
Python has been the inspiration for many other programming languages such as Ruby, Cobra, Boo, CoffeeScript ECMAScript, Groovy, Swift Go, OCaml, Julia, etc.
