The Discord app is now available on the PlayStation 5 in beta mode. Users can chat during gameplay sessions, and the connection to the call is implemented through a smartphone.

The Discord blog told that gamers can now link their PlayStation Network account with Discord. To do this it is necessary to go to the settings, scan the QR-code and enter the code generated by the system into the field. After this, PS5 will appear in the account in the list of connected devices.
It is noteworthy that Discord on PlayStation 5 is not fully available. For example, users will not be able to make a call from the game console. To do this, you will need to connect to the call from your smartphone, and then transfer the active call to the PS5. When transferring the call, a call card with controls will appear on the console screen, and if there is no external microphone or headphones, Discord will use the built-in microphone of the DualSense controller.
Discord on the PS5 is still available in beta test mode and may be unstable. Also last year, support for the gamer messenger appeared on PS4 and Xbox.
