Apple received a patent for a stand that allows you to mount two Pro Display XDR monitors on it. The original stand for one such display costs a thousand dollars on the official website, so a solution for two monitors at once can cost users many times more.
Portal Patently Apple reported that Cupertino received a patent for a stand that allows you to place two Pro Display XDR professional monitors on the table at once. The publication reports that users usually use two different stands or special brackets for these purposes. Often, such designs do not allow you to adjust the height of two monitors at once and take up a lot of space on your desktop.
Apple's solution offers a two-legged stand, on the transverse tube of which two monitors are mounted at once. The height of the monitors can be adjusted by lowering and raising the pipe. This changes the height of two monitors at once. The user can also adjust the distance between the monitors. A hinge is installed in the center of the pipe, which allows you to adjust the angle between the monitors.
The media noted that if the company releases such a rack, then it will not be a mass product. One Pro Display XDR monitor on Apple's website costs $5,000, and a branded stand will cost an additional thousand dollars. Thus, the price of a workplace of two such monitors, excluding the machine, is $12,000. With a new rack, such a solution will cost many times more.
