At the moment, Apple has updated all the lines of its computers and laptops. Each manufactured device now runs on the company's own processors. The changes have not yet affected the Mac Pro, which is still going to be based on Intel processors.
An insider said that this year the company will change the situation and release the Mac Pro on its own processor. Apple's most powerful solution right now comes in the form of a 20-core M1 Ultra processor with a 64-core GPU and a 32-core Neural Engine. According to Gurman, Apple will release the M2 Extreme specifically for the Mac Pro. The new processor should be twice as powerful as the M1 Ultra, and the company's line of computers will run entirely on its own systems on a chip.
The journalist also said that other Apple devices can get M2 chips, and the MacBook Air and Pro lines have already acquired gadgets based on M2.
