A YouTube user and streamer nicknamed Minthical dug up the entire Minecraft sandbox game world in five years. He managed to mine 47 million blocks.

The player used an outdated Legacy version of Minecraft on PlayStation 4. In it, the game world is limited to 862 blocks wide and long, and 64 blocks high.
The blogger started in December 2017. He spent 10,000 hours digging out the entire game world. His last stream lasted about five hours.
In modern versions of Minecraft, the game world is 256 blocks high (128 before update 12w07a). In total, the map can contain up to 9,216×1017 (920 quadrillion) blocks in each dimension. The maximum map area is 3.6×1015 square meters, or 3,600,000,000 square kilometers.

Previously, the Mystical Midget streamer was able to complete Minecraft in 2,500 hours. He began the journey to the end of the map on January 31, 2021. The blogger managed to go 32 million blocks in 2,500 hours of game time. At the end of the journey, the game's client began to slow down, after which the character began to fall. The player tried to extend his life with food, but after a few seconds of flight the character still died.
