We already wrote about the launch of a new line of AMD processors in the fall, and the company confirmed that the official launch of the Zen4 family of processors and motherboards for them will start in September, namely from the 15th. Judging by the schedule of the company's events, a full-fledged presentation of products is waiting for us on August 29, and users will be able to "feel" the processor live only in two weeks.

The embargo on real tests and reviews will not be lifted until three days before the start of sales, so for now, let's look at what updates about the 7xxx line are available now.
The processor line will include four models from Ryzen 9 to Ryzen 5: 7950x, 7800x, 7700x, 7600x.

The processors will have a completely new architecture of Zen 4 cores, which should provide an increase in performance (compared to Zen 3 cores) in IPC up to 8%, and computing power up to 15% in single-threaded mode and up to 35% in multi-threaded. Also, the processor-chipset bundle will support PCIe Gen 5.0 slots, provide M.2 Gen 5.0 support, memory support up to DDR5-5600, and its own implementation of the Microsoft DirectStorage API - Smart Access Storage, which will allow video cards to directly load data from SSD, bypassing the processor.
As for motherboards, models based on the more expensive X670E and X670 chipsets with the AM5 platform (LGA1718 socket) will first see the light, followed by budget products based on the B650E and B650 chipsets a few weeks later (around October/November).
